WRITING YOUR VOWS (my favourite part)

No, don’t groan! When we first chat about writing vows nearly every groom sinks back in the chair and looks like a deer in the headlights.

It’s not that scary. That first sentence is always the hardest but then it just seems to flow. I can help with some tips and tricks and Google is always a great place to start your research BUT don’t copy someone else’s words. By all means use them as inspiration but make sure you write them in your own language and style.

If you know you’re going to get a little (or a lot) emotional, pop in something funny that relates to you both. Maybe along the lines of “I promise to never go to Bunnings and get a sausage without you” or similar - you get the idea. That one line will make you giggle and you will start to breath again.

And by all means, run them past me if you want to keep them a secret. I will always give you honest feedback.

After 20 years of marriage, these words are what you will remember the most about your special day.

Happy writing!
